Everyone has an opinion on what is the best Christmas film.

The premise is simple but the movie is one for the ages, a festive one for the ages at that.

Last Tango In Paris, the 1972 erotic thriller, has gone down in infamy thanks to a controversial scene in which Marlon Brando’s character uses a stick of butter to anally rape another character played by Maria Schneider.

Now footage of the film’s director Bernardo Bertolucci has surfaced from 2013 in which Bernardo admits the scene was non-consensual and neither him nor Marlon warned Maria in advance.

‘The sequence of the butter is an idea that I had with Marlon in the morning before shooting,’ said Bernardo in the interview recorded at the La Cinémathèque Française in Paris.

Everyone at Hogwarts took Secret Santa very seriously (Picture: Warner Bros/Metro)

It used to be Indiana Jones.

Every year I’d burrow my way through my Christmas dinner, then very politely ask if I could be excused from the kitchen table to watch my hero.

In 1987, the BBC trailed their Christmas Day showing of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom so heavily that the film was simply unavoidable.

It was the biggest event in Britain’s history – or, at least, it was to me.

Looking back from an internet age where access to any movie is a finger-tap away, it all feels remarkably quaint. I felt privileged to watch… Read the full story

The much anticipated trailer for Tom Cruise’s The Mummy has arrived, and it looks insane.

A big fan of the special effects and crazy stunts, the trailer shows Tom Cruise hasn’t disappointed with his venture into ancient Egypt for his latest project.

But even the movie’s biggest fans might not know that a key scene, showing Caine’s Scrooge singing with his former fiancee Belle between timelines, was cut from the movie.
