JK Rowling silenced as fan points out glaring Fantastic Beasts 'plot hole'

The well-loved British-American actress, 90, voiced kindly teapot Mrs Potts in the 1991 animated original, after starring in another Disney movie, 1971’s Bedknobs And Broomsticks.

But she seemed to distance herself from the BATB reboot in a new interview — and if she ‘doesn’t know why’ the classic fairytale is being made all over again, with Emma Watson and Dan… Read the full story

Disney's new short Inner Workings could do for organs what Inside Out did for emotions

The ludicrously rich Harry Potter author didn’t offer a direct explanation about an apparent inconsistency in the story, put to her on Twitter — merely asking puzzled fans to ‘trust’ her.

She added rather elusively that ‘all will become clear’, and that she ‘can’t… Read the full story

However he didn’t specify whether the next outing will involve stars Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

Speaking to podcast Mr Wavvy, he was asked about the post-credits sting of the Paul Feig remake, which [SPOILER ALERT] hinted at a reappearance of Zuul.

Lego Batman has been given a real-life makeover (Picture: Lego)

We’re used to seeing Lego parodies of real-life movies and TV shows, like Stranger Things and Suicide Squad.

Disney's new short Inner Workings could do for organs what Inside Out did for emotions

But now a YouTuber has done just the opposite, by taking a trailer for the upcoming Lego Batman movie and making it live-action, with edits from other films.

The result is hilarious, as the light, comical tone of the new Lego film does not fit well with the 1989 Michael Keaton Batman movie, which is where the majority of the clips come from.

When Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them was released last week, Potterheads across the globe flocked to the cinema to get their first glimpse of Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander.

But while J.K. Rowling’s box office smash might be the first time we’ve met Newt in person, it turns out that he was very much a part of Hazza P’s big screen adventures too.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Newt actually features in 2004’s Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban, with his name appearing during a scene where Fred and George Weasley teach Harry how to use the Marauder’s Map.

However, it’s not the biggest Marvel debut overall – with that accolade going to Guardians of the Galaxy, which pulled… Read the full story

For over 20 years The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Jack Skellington, or the Pumpkin King, has been terrifying and delighting children in equal measure.

The creation of director and writer Tim Burton, Jack was an idea first conjured when Tim was an animator at Disney in the early 80s, but he didn’t come to life until the release of the film in 1992.

Home Alone
Did you ever notice these things about Home Alone? (Picture: 20th Century Fox)

It’s not truly Christmas until Home Alone has been on TV.

We’ve watched it around 2379 times since its release back in 1990, and know it inside out and back to front. But do we?

Never before have we noticed what’s up with Marv’s feet, and we never knew what lengths they went to to protect Macaulay Culkin during that van scene.

Watching for the 2380th time throws up a fair few things we didn’t notice. Here are six of the biggies:
