Speaking on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show, the former Sex And The City actress said that she had been fired by Antz and the movie Home On The Range, adding ‘apparently I was a bad ant’.

‘What was upsetting was they even called me like the week before they fired me. They called to tell me how great I was, which I felt was like a set up but I think they meant it at that time.’

Just how good was this year’s London Film Festival?

Standout performances include: Lewis MacDougall as Conor in A Monster Calls, who handles the intensity… Read the full story

Come with me… and you’ll be… in a world of pure imagination. Again.

It’s easy to be sceptical about the news that Hollywood is planning a reboot involving children’s favourite Willy Wonka.

The character has already been the subject of two features, 1971’s beloved Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and 2005’s rather reviled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

One is a ubiquitous Christmas Day favourite featuring the quintessential Gene Wilder performance; the other’s major claim to fame is that it’s not quite as dire as its director Tim Burton’s worst remake, Planet… Read the full story

So what’s the early verdict on Doctor Strange then? (Picture: Marvel)

It’s been a long time coming, but Doctor Strange is almost upon us – and the first reactions to the film are giving it a bit of a thumbs-up.

Although actual reviews of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Marvel outing won’t be released until next week, those folks who attended an early screening of the movie in Los Angeles have taken to social media to share their response.

And by and large they liked it:

The first trailer for the Wolverine movie Logan doesn’t look like a Wolverine movie

Hugh Jackman is putting his adamantium claws on for one last ride as Wolverine.

The first trailer for Logan sees a haggard and older Wolverine team up with Professor X to help a young mutant girl.

Logan has clearly been through the wars here, with Jackman sporting a (somewhat unconvincing – sorry) greying beard and head of hair instead of the spikey, wolfish style of previous films.

Jack Reacher is back… and he’s p****d off.

That may not be the official tagline of the sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, which arrives in cinemas this weekend, but it just about covers it.

Reacher, as fans of Lee Child’s book series – and those who watched the 2012 original – will know, kicks ass then asks questions later.

Pretty Woman has become one of the Nineties most memorable and beloved films but it turns out that it could so easily have gone the other way.

Especially because the screenwriter wanted to write a much darker movie than what audiences saw.

At the end of Pretty Woman Julia Roberts’ Vivian and Richard Gere’s Edward finally reunite when Edward realises he is making a mistake leaving Vivian behind in Los Angeles and returns to her apartment in his white limousine (the modern equivalent of a white horse, obviously) to tell her he… Read the full story

Hilary Swank has told the astonishing story of how she was allegedly offered 20 times less than a male actor after winning two Academy Awards.

The American star won Best Actress Oscars for Boys Don’t Cry in 1999 and Million Dollar Baby in 2004, but she was subsequently deemed by one studio to be far less valuable than a ‘hot’ male actor, who had not received critical acclaim.

While being paid $3,000 (£2,500) for her break-through Boys Don’t Cry was bad enough, the 42-year-old said she was gob-smacked… Read the full story
