If you haven’t noticed, Matt Damon’s movie posters look pretty much the same.

Jason Bourne star Matt Damon explains why you’re seeing less indie movies in cinemas

Basically they feature his face covered in writing.

So when Metro.co.uk got the chance to meet Matt at the Jason Bourne UK junket, we couldn’t not ask him about it.

‘i never even noticed that,’ the actor said as we presented the said posters.

X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger joins the cast of Moana

Nicole Scherzinger has joined the voice cast of Moana.

The X Factor judge will play Moana’s mother Sina in the upcoming Disney movie.

Sina has been described as ‘playful, sharp and strong-willed’ and always there to back Moana up.

‘Sina appreciates Moana’s longing to be on the water, but also wants to protect her daughter from the fabled dangers beyond the reef’ Disney say.

Also joining the cast is Alan Tudyk as Heihei ‘a dumb rooster’ who accidentally ends up accompanying Moana on her perilous journey.

The first teaser trailer for Bad Santa 2 has arrived to bring you some festive cheer.

Billy Bob Thornton is back in the role of Santa impersonator Willie Stokes and it looks like the boozed up reprobate hasn’t changed much since the 2003 original.

The short clip shows a Santa dressing up to go to work only to reveal Stokes snoozing behind him.

No doubt sleeping off a hangover.

That 200-year-old oak tree from Shawshank Redemption has fallen down

The tree in the movie Shawshank Redemption, starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins, sadly fell down due to extremely high winds.

Jodie Snavely, of the Mansfield and Richland County Convention and Visitors Bureau said the tree had previously split but survived during a lightning strike in 2011 but the strong winds were the final nail in the coffin for the 200 year-old tree.

The tree sits on private property but fans could view it as part of a series of places in north-central Ohio related to the film.

Snavely said they weren’t entirely sure what would happen to the tree now but she added; ‘The tree symbolises hope to its visitors. When they can actually come and see that, it’s very touching to them, and it means a lot to them.’

James Gunn confirms that Sly Stallone has an ‘important’ role in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2

James Gunn has teased what Sylvester Stallone’s role will be in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2.

Stallone’s casting along with Kurt Russell’s means that Gunn has reunited classic 80s cop duo Tango and Cash. We can only hope that there will be some reference to that movie in there somewhere for 80s kids to get excited about.

But don’t expect him to be on screen for long. The focus of GOTG2 will be our five heroes – Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket – and Sly is going to have a smaller supporting role, but an important one.

Today one of the gods of cinema, Stanley Kubrick, would have turned 88 and we miss him an awful lot.

The enigmatic director of 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange and numerous other masterpieces died 18 years ago shortly after finishing work on his last film, Eyes Wide Shut.

An exhibition of new work inspired by his movies is currently open in London, and his cinematic oeuvre has been parodied and referenced hundreds of times, in everything from The Simpsons to Blur videos.

Can you believe it’s 30 years since the fourth Superman movie The Quest For Peace was released in cinemas?

Well it was. Which means yes, you are that old. But while the film might not have been the most popular in the series, there’s still one place where it’s fondly remembered – Milton Keynes.

That’s because certain key sequences in the movie – the last to feature the late Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel – were filmed there.

And to celebrate the film’s three decades in existence, UK artist Richard DiDomenici has remade some of those sequences shot-for-shot – with pretty impressive results.

Harrison Ford could have died in an on-set accident while filming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The 74-year-old broke his leg when a heavy hydraulic door on the Millennium Falcon spaceship fell open and pinned him to the floor during rehearsals at Pinewood Studios in London.

Foodles Production has pleaded guilty for breaching health and safety legislation on two counts at Milton Keynes magistrates court.

Looks like Batman might not be the only Justice League good guy in Suicide Squad

Fans are speculating that Batman won’t be the only Justice League hero to show up in the new Suicide Squad movie.

They’re judging this on a clip from the latest trailer, which shows one of the Squad villains – Captain Boomerang – surrounded by bright white electrical charges.

It’s unclear what exactly he’s fighting, but seeing as the Boomerang’s enemy is the Flash, Comic Book – via Flickering Myth – says it’s Ezra Miller’s new embodiment of the Barry Allen’s hero and alter-ego.

With just over a week to go before the release of the highly-anticipated Suicide Squad, fan theories have been circulating the internet faster than Harley Quinn can blow her bubblegum.

But it seems one rumour has got so out of hand that director David Ayers has spoke up and denied it completely.

And that’s the suggestion that Jared Leto’s Joker could actually be Jason Todd – and in the DC comic book universe, Jason was actually Batman’s second Robin.

Director Gareth Edwards has finally cleared up rumours that a young Han Solo could make a cameo in Rogue One.

Speculation have been rife that the nerf herder could make a guest appearance in the spin-off film.

But Edwards has shot down the rumours telling Extra TV: ‘I’m not sure if I’m allowed to do this, but I think I should. Han Solo’s not in the movie.’

Suicide Squad spoiler alert! New trailer basically confirms The Joker isn’t the only villain

The new Suicide Squad trailer might have given the entire game away in terms of the film’s main plot twist.

So far the story has been presented as a group of wise-cracking supervillains working together to fight a mysterious force – before the Joker introduces some problems for them.

But that cannot be the whole story, and the Joker certainly couldn’t create that ‘the swirling ring of trash in the sky’ they’re seen fighting.
