Buddy the Elf is the happiest elf there ever was. Right?

But what if he had a disturbing, sinister side to him and was fooling us all along?

There’s a fan theory that Buddy was actually a rather dark force amongst Santa’s helpers and wasn’t quite as innocent as he portrayed himself to be.

And Reddit user Batfan5 says a number of incidents in the film prove his theory.

One example is the shower scene in which Buddy (Will Ferrell) walks in on Jovie (Zooey Deschanel) whilst she’s singing naked in the shower.
