The Twilight Saga may have been one of the most successful tween film franchises of all time but there is a baffling story point that still angers the main screenwriter even four years after the last movie hit cinemas.

The five part film series scooped over £2.7 billion at the box office between 2008 and 2012 – but script writer Melissa Rosenberg says there is one $1 million question about the series that has her stumped.

‘In the first movie, there’s something about, “Be my spider monkey”. I’m like, “Spider monkey? What the hell is spider monkey?”’… Read the full story

Lady Gaga has been confirmed to take the lead in Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born.

She’s got big shoes to fill, with the role of Esther Hoffman previously being played by Janet Gaynor, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand.

But after her Golden Globe winning performance in American Horror Story: Hotel as The Countess, Gaga has proven herself a worthy candidate.

Warner Bros are the behind this third remake with Bradley Cooper making his directorial debut as well as taking on the male lead John Norman Howard.

There goes Matt Damon, making man buns sexy again.

The actor has brought back his somewhat questionable look from last year, and he actually kind of rocks it. Not sure what Jason Bourne would make of the new new hipster look, though.

The actor was in Beijing for a photocall for his new movie Jason Bourne, and it appears he might have had to shoot a few scenes for his new movie The Great Wall while he was there.

Suicide Squad came out nearly two weeks ago, but Jared Leto still hasn’t seen it.

Suicide Squad is not as sexist as critics want you to think

And it sounds like he might never return as the Joker for future sequels after making his feelings about Warner Bros known at a recent music event.

Jared was speaking at Camp Mars, an activity weekend in Malibu put on for Thirty Seconds To Mars fans, where he reportedly spoke of his disappointment at the reaction to the theatrical cut of the film.

Taking away a laughter track, familiar setting and ability to watch it with a cup of tea and a whole pack of chocolate digestives can sometimes make a British sitcom’s transition to the big screen a tricky prospect.

With The Office spin-off David Brent: Life on the Road hitting cinemas on 19 August, here’s a look at how all of its 21st Century predecessors have fared from worst to best.

Houston, we have intersectional feminism (Picture: 20th Century Fox)

Mainstream feminist movies are few and far between but when they do hit the big screen, they usually centre on the white woman’s struggle.

Last year’s Suffragette focused entirely on the white suffrage movement in the UK and ignored not just the Indian suffragettes but women of colour in general.

Suffragette is good for white feminism, bad for intersectionality

While independent films like Amma Asante’s Belle and Sean S. Baker’s Tangerine have brought refreshingly diverse stories to the big screen, over the last 12 months we’ve seen white feminism dominate.

It was announced last month that Kirsten Dunst would making her directorial debut with an adaption of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar.

But back in October 2015, the celebrated actress revealed a few little details about the film, without actually naming the project, while chatting on the Nerdist Podcast.

Speaking to Chris Hardwick, Kirsten talked about writing the script with her friend, Nellie Kim:

It’s a kind of thing that we could keep rearranging and make better and there’s so much freedom. It’s based on a book, it’s really, you could make it anyway you can. It’s a kind of book that’s so, it could be… Read the full story
