Director J.J. Abrams has revealed that Anton Yelchin will not be replaced in the Star Trek franchise.

The fourth film in The Divergent Series might not even get a cinema release.
Variety say The Divergent Series: Ascendant will premiere as a TV movie instead followed by a TV series.
Ascendant will serve as the finale to the films and segue into a standalone drama set in the same world.
Lionsgate reportedly planned to release the film in June 2017 with shooting kicking off this summer in Atlanta.

The first film in the live action franchise won’t be based on Pokemon Go as first thought, but on a new character – Detective Pikachu.
Detective Pikachu is not to be confused with, well, regular Pikachu. He was first introduced in a video game that was released in Japan.
Unlike normal Pikachu Pokemon, Detective Pikachu actually speaks instead of saying its own name over and over.
Variety say details are being kept under wraps at the moment, but production is set to start in 2017.

Suicide Squad has been given the 15 certificate rating in the UK.
The BBFC confirmed the news on Twitter, stating that the rating was given because it featured ‘sustained threat and moderate violence’.
This is a higher rating than in the US, with the film – starring Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Will Smith – securing a PG-13 certification.

Jared Leto’s hotly-anticipated role as the Joker has been given an extended preview in a new Suicide Squad trailer dedicated to the villain.
