Director Denis Villeneuve has created these two stunning images as plans for the upcoming Blade Runner sequel (Pictures: Twitter)

Concept art from the upcoming Blade Runner sequel has been revealed online and it packs a lot of atmosphere.

Fog-shrouded streets, skyscrapers, strange vehicles and huge lit-up billboard adverts populate the futuristic landscapes – not dissimilar to those in the first film from 1982.

The two powerful images were unveiled to anxious fans at Comic Con and on Entertainment Weekly, and they’ve left some die-hards reassured the sequel will stay true to the tone of the beloved original.

What the pictures don’t show is that the imagined environment is ‘toxic’, because the climate has taken a turn for the poisonous, and the… Read the full story

The last in that list is why the character Jaylah exists in the new big screen adventure as she is literally Jennifer Lawrence as an independent ass-kicking alien.

Dancer and model Sofia Boutella plays the Star Trek: Beyond character and script writer Simon Pegg has revealed she is inspired by two-time Oscar winner J-Law.

The force is strong with Mark Hamill, but it seems that the same can’t be said for his dog Millie.

She was denied entry to a Star Wars Episode VIII wrap party after Luke Skywalker actor Mark tried to take her along.

The swanky do was held at London’s Natural History Museum, but security had no intention of letting the rescue dog inside.

Instead, the Chihuahua, dachshund, spaniel and shih-Tzu mix was taken to a waiting car by an assistant, where she had a snooze as Mark partied the night away.

StudioCanal has pulled the action thriller Bastille Day from all French cinemas following the terrorist attack in Nice which took place on the annual day of celebration.

The plot of the movie, which stars Idris Elba and Richard Madden, bears an unfortunate similarity to the attacks which took place on Thursday, centering around a former CIA agent and a con artist who team up to stop a terrorist attack in Paris.

Variety have confirmed that the French studio have requested all cinema chains stop screening the film, and not just adverts, out of respect for the dead and wounded.
