With the release of Love & Friendship in cinemas – a hilarious adaptation of Jane Austen’s Lady Susan – it’s a good time to take a look at all the Austen adaptations to have hit our TV and cinema screens.

Which was the best? Which are the worst? Which likely made Austen turn in her grave?

We’re only including direct adaptations here, so don’t expect to see the likes of Clueless or Bridget Jones’ Diary.
