Screenwriter Daniel Gerson, who co-wrote some of Disney’s biggest hits, has died.
A statement released yesterday by Gerson’s family said that the writer died in his Los Angeles home following a battle with brain cancer.
As well as Monsters Inc., Gerson co-wrote the movie’s prequel, Monsters University, Big Hero 6 and the forthcoming Cars 3.
Gerson began his career as a writer for NBC’s comedy series Something So Right.
Fans of the late screenwriter have been sharing tributes on social media.
