Well it’s Groundhog Day. Again. Which gives us all an excuse to watch that oh-so-classic movie in which Bill Murray’s weatherman Phil Conners lives the same day over and over – and over – again.
But have you ever stopped to wonder just how many times Bill’s beleaguered character has actually repeated that fated February 2 by the time the film ends?
Well, he’s seen repeating the day 38 times in the actual film, while director Harold Ramis estimated on the DVD he had spent around 10 years in Punxsatawney – later suggesting it could have taken longer given how many new skills he acquired.
