The actor responsible for bringing Dr Dre to the big screen in Straight Outta Compton is set to star as the lead in Fox’s reboot of spy series 24.
Corey Hawkins, who starred as the rap mogul in the acclaimed NWA biopic, is set to star as Eric Carter in 24: Legacy – which is believed to follow the same format as the original show.
Carter is described as a military hero and a family man who is forced to turn to the Counter-Terrorism Unit to thwart a large-scale attack on American soil.
