The BAFTA nominations 2016 are out! Most of the nominees were what you’d expect, although it was a surprise to not see any British films in the Best Film category.
45 Years has also been unexpectedly snubbed. It’s up for Outstanding British Film, but its lead actors, Tom Courtenay and Charlotte Rampling, haven’t received nominations. They don’t stand a chance in the Oscars, so it would have been nice to see BAFTA recognise them.
