A Captain Marvel movie was announced, with a lot of fanfare, a year ago. It was originally slated for a July 2018 release date, but that was pushed back to November 2018 to make room for a new Spider-Man movie, now that Marvel Studios and Sony are sharing the lil’ web-slinger.
Then yesterday, at the New York Comic Con, Marvel announced that Captain Marvel will be pushed back even further to March 2019, to make room for an Ant-Man sequel, titled Ant-Man and the Wasp.
