Michael Fassbender is doing the robot. Twice.

Reprising his character of synthetic robot David (from Prometheus) in the upcoming sci-fi flick Alien: Covenant, the 39-year-old actor has revealed he will also portray another robot named Walter in the project.

‘I am allowed to say I am playing two robots — Walter and David,’ he told the Irish Times.

Sony Pictures are reportedly courting Evil Dead filmmaker Fede Alvarez to direct the follow-up to David Fincher’s 2011 film, reports Variety.

Director Quentin Tarantino is planning to retire after making just two more films, to the inevitable devastation of movie buffs worldwide.

While there’s been previous rumblings of Tarantino’s planned retirement, the 53-year-old reinforced his plans to throw in the towel after his tenth outing during the Adobe Max creativity conference in San Diego.

‘Drop the mic. Boom. Tell everybody. “Match that shit,”’ Tarantino told the conference to huge applause, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
