Ryan Reynolds apparently paid the salaries of the writers on Deadpool.

The Marvel film was a very long time coming, but it seems star Reynolds would have done anything to make sure it reached the fans.

The actor, director Tim Miller and the writers worked on Deadpool for six years and became very close during the process.

So close in fact, that according to writer Rhett Reese Ryan apparently paid for him and co-writer Paul Wernick to be on set during filming.

Well that’s alright then.

Meanwhile he described himself as ‘the big, brown, bald tattooed guy who just simply stands there and oooooozes smoldering, captivating, sizzling, can’t take your eyes off this brilliant manly man’.

Maybe Johnson has been taking creative writing lessons from The Game?

Directed by 80-year-old Woody, Blake says she had no issue being side-lined as a support act in the rom-com because he is such a joy to work with… Read the full story

Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Michael Fassbender have reportedly all made the official short list for James Bond, should Daniel Craig follow through with his threat to quit the franchise.

Other names on the list include the usual suspect, Poldark’s Aidan Turner, but also Fast and Furious star Luke Evans and Charlie Hunnam, star of American drama series Sons Of Anarchy.

During promotion for the most recent James Bond film, Spectre, Daniel claimed that he would rather ‘slash his wrists’ than star as 007 again and it was later revealed that he reportedly turned down £68m from MGM Studios, which would… Read the full story

Ghostbusters, the summer’s box office hit starring Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth, has for some bizarre and completely unknown reason been retitled for its DVD release.

The movie made $217.7 million (over £160 million) worldwide on a $144 million budget but Collider have seen the DVD synopsis and Sony Pictures appear to have decided to rename the film – maybe so that people stop asking ‘do you mean the 1984 film or 2016?’

The DVD cover has been brought back to our attention by writer Ali Gray, who uploaded a reminder of the image on Twitter and pointed out the disturbing matter at hand.

Ali wrote: ‘The DVD cover for Mighty Ducks 2 looks like Emilio Estevez popped his nads out and is forcing kids to kiss them.’

As Aardman Animations celebrate their 40th anniversary, we’ve ranked the 10 best characters from the studio’s beloved line-up of cheese-loving Brits and getaway chickens.

British entertainment institutions don’t come much more adored than Aardman Animations. Set up by Peter Lord and David Sproxton who created the character Morph for children’s show Take Hart in 1976, the studio has gone onto house the most memorable clay creations ever committed to screens.

But whether they’re concocting psychotic poultry farmers or note-perfect singing slugs, they’ve always tapped into a distinctly British flavour of humour which goes untouched elsewhere. So in true British style, let’s argue over the trivial as we countdown the greatest characters… Read the full story

The image was taken in 2004 and the Captain Marvel star posted as a funny throwback photo to Instagram with the caption: ‘I touched a Dolphins belly while sporting a trucker hat in 2004. #noregrets #fbf.’
