Ever since we all fell in love with R2-D2 in his 1977 debut in A New Hope, every single Star Wars fan has dreamed of owning their very own droid.
Now that dream is closer to reality than ever as a real-life droid has been created to replicate BB-8 from upcoming sequel A Force Awakens.
An employee at Sphero, a fast-growing toy robotics company, is seen playing with the newly created droid on the Star Wars Celebration stage, watched by J J Abrams.
Sphero have worked in conjunction with Lucasfilm and Disney to construct the droid, meaning that it may not be long before the general public can own BB-8 for real.
