She might have staked her claim as one of the best new British actresses around – but has Carey Mulligan now decided she wants to be a New Yorker instead?
Well if this video is anything to go by, it certainly appears to be that way, as Carey embraces all things Big Apple related, despite having only been there a limited time.
And as she reveals in the clip, released by Vogue (as part of an interview for the latest issue), she’s given in to the lure of New York Citibikes, hot dogs, pretzels and speaking with an American accent.
‘I sort of feel like I am a New Yorker now,’ Carey – who moved to the city to appear in Broadway play Skylight – explains. ‘It’s in my blood.’
‘I can’t remember what it feels like to be British, it feels so weird.’
