An interview with the writer of the fifth Indiana Jones movie reveals that the franchise’s creator is not involved the new film.
Speaking to Collider, writer David Koepp spoke about the forthcoming Indy film, set to star Harrison Ford once more as the titular archaeologist.
The film was announced earlier this year by Disney but George Lucas’ name was not mentioned. When asked if the Star Wars man would be involved, Koepp said:
‘He’s not, to my knowledge. I’ve had no contact with him.’
Ouch!
Just like with the Star Wars films, it seems there’s no place for Lucas at Disney.
Koepp, who penned such hits as Jurassic Park, War Of The Worlds, and Inferno, also managed to get a joke in about the much-maligned Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
