Actress Charmian Carr has died aged 73 her publicist has confirmed to TMZ.
Carr passed away on Saturday following complications from a rare form of dementia.
She was best known for playing Liesl von Trapp, the eldest daughter of Captain Von Trapp in the 1965 film The Sound Of Music opposite Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.
On her official website, a message from the site’s manager Steve Hughes reads: ‘Me and my family are so sad to have to post this message and will miss her dearly.
