Zendaya has been cast as Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Homecoming
The 19-year-old’s involvement in the reboot of the iconic web-slinger had previously been revealed, but The Wrap now say that she’s set to play Peter Parker’s enduring love interest.
The role was previously played by Kirsten Dunst in Sam Raimi’s big screen vision of the Marvel comic.
Zendaya will star alongside Tom Holland who plays the titular hero, but Sony and Marvel Studios are yet to officially comment on the casting.
