Groundhog Day actress Angela Paton has died at the age of 86.
Her nephew, George Woolf, confirmed that the actress died on Thursday in Oakland, California, where she had been in care after suffering a heart attack.
Paton was first established as a stage actress in California, but found fame for her role as Mrs Lancaster in Groundhog Day – the elderly innkeeper who takes in weatherman Phil Connors, played by Bill Murray as he lives the same day over, and over again.
