Gaspar Noe’s Cannes Film Festival entry, Love, was always going to shock.
The 3D sex film features a graphic shot of a man ejaculating straight at the lens but reviews have been anti-climactic with critics branding the sex scenes ‘vanilla’.
Love follows the story of Murphy (Karl Glusman), an American living unhappily in Paris with his girlfriend Omi (Klara Kristin) and their two-year-old son.
But Murphy is still obsessed with his ex-girlfriend Electra (Aomi Muyock) and the film charts the breakdown of their relationship.
