In case you didn’t already know, classic 1993 comedy Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray has been adapted by comic Tim Minchin into a musical.
And now the full cast of the new show, due to run at London’s Old Vic for ten weeks from July to September, has been announced.
The list has revealed that misanthropic weatherman Phil Connors – one of Murray’s most memorable roles – will be played by Broadway veteran Andy Karl.
Baltimore native Andy played Rocky in Rocky The Musical in 2014 and has enjoyed other major roles in Jersey Boys, Wicked and Legally Blonde too.
