As Darth Vader once said, today will be a day long remembered – it’s Star Wars Day!
All over the world, fans will be getting out their lightsabers to celebrate the world’s greatest film franchise.
But just what has George Lucas’ vision taught us? Here’s everything we learned about the Force from the Star Wars saga.
1. The Force is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds and penetrates everything, binding the galaxy together. A bit like Twitter.
2. According to Darth Vader, the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force. And he should know.
3. In case you’ve wiped this factoid from your mind, without Midi-chlorians (microscopic lifeform that reside within all living cells) life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. The Midi-chlorians continually speak to you, telling you the will of the Force. Of course, you can just choose to ignore this.
