Michael Keaton plays Ray Kroc, the ruthless businessman who brought us the world’s most popular burger joint in new flick The Founder.
‘How the heck does a 52-year-old, over-the-hill, milkshake machine salesman build an empire with 1600 restaurants, and an annual revenue of 700million dollars?’ the clip opens with Keaton as Kroc addressing the camera.
‘One word: Persistence.’
The trailer sees Kroc as he befriends burger joint owners Mac and Dick McDonald, and slowly steals their business from under them.
‘It can be the new American church, and it ain’t just open on Sundays,’ he tells them of the potential success he sees happening. He just doesn’t tell them it won’t be including them.
As things heat up and he steams ahead with his underhand plan, the brothers become increasingly more up in arms about losing their business and its name.
