It has received pretty lukewarm reviews, but that hasn’t stopped movie fans from flocking to see Pitch Perfect 2.
The musical comedy made an estimated $70.3million (£45.38m) in the US at the weekend, which is more than the first film made during its entire cinema run in the States.
Pretty impressive stuff, especially considering the film only cost around $29m (£18.7m) to make and was released just a week after Mad Max: Fury Road.
Pitch Perfect 2 was directed by Elizabeth Banks, who also starred in the film and acted as producer.
