Ryan Reynolds will reprise his titular role as the fourth wall breaking superhero following the success of the first film, which has become the highest-grossing R-rated film in box office history.
Deadpool has earned $745 million at the box office so far and Heroic Hollywood report that Fox have closed a deal on the second film in the Marvel franchise to ensure production can get under way later this year.
Screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick told IndieWire they might be bringing Cable – a time-travelling mutant whose best pals and best enemies with Deadpool.
