On Glienicke Bridge outside of Berlin in 1962, two Cold War powers met and exchanged their prisoners, the story of which has now been told in Steven Spielberg’s gripping Bridge Of Spies.
But in the intervening fifty-odd years, a lot has changed for the German city, once divided by a wall and the centre of the Cold War struggle.
So to celebrate the home entertainment release of Tom Hanks’s Oscar-winning masterpiece, Metro.co.uk visited Berlin and discovered all of the places that you can visit from the film just like Tom’s character did – and how they have changed in the last half century.
