Poldark’s Aidan Turner is battling it out with Tom Hardy to be the next incarnation of James Bond.
It looks like the handsome Irishman has ever chance of stealing the role out from under Tom – as BoyleSports have slashed his odds of getting it from 6/1 to 4/1, the same odds as his rival.
It’s a major upset as Tom, 38, has been the bookies’ favourite for the past few weeks, ever since current Bond Daniel Craig expressed his lack of desire to continue with the franchise.
Aidan, 32, has legions of female fans and impressed in his role as a Bond-style mercenary in the BBC’s And Then There Were None over Christmas.
