Gemma Jones won a Best Supporting Actress TV BAFTA Award on Sunday night, but she had something else on her mind.
The veteran star of stage and screen famously played Bridget Jones’ mum in the two film adaptions of Helen Fielding’s much-loved books, and now she’s told producers of the third film to get a move on.
Speaking to journalists following her TV BAFTA win, Gemma said they should hurry up and make the adapation of Mad About The Boy (provisionally titled Bridget Jones’s Baby) ‘or she’ll be on a zimmer frame’ by the time she returns as Pamela.
