Those who are fans of Deadpool and The X Files have their dreams realised as the two fictional worlds have collided on Twitter.
Deadpool’s account posted three tweets referencing the legendary sci-fi show on its glorious return to US TV last night.
One of the tweets shows Marvel’s ‘Merc with the Mouth’ Wilson Wade lurking in some trees listening out for aliens, while space ship-style light shines down.
The other is a pitch for a mash-up movie, using a pun of on Weapon X, the fictional government project responsible for creating Deadpool and many other heroes.
And while Weapon X gave Wolverine his adamantium bones, Deadpool wants an adamantium boner.
