Film director Spike Lee has said he won’t be attending the Academy Awards next month – due to the overwhelming number of white nominees.
The Malcolm X director, 58, announced the decision in a Facebook post titled #OscarsSoWhite – and set his reasoning against the backdrop of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
