Actor Alan Rickman has died, aged 69.
The British star was most famous for his role as Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter franchise.
Rickman had been suffering from cancer, and his death was confirmed on Thursday by his family.
A family statement reads: ‘The actor and director Alan Rickman has died from cancer at the age of 69. He was surrounded by family and friends.’
