Today is the day that fearsome replicant leader Roy Batty was ‘born’ in the classic sci-fi movie Blade Runner.
In the Ridley Scott film, Batty goes rogue and is pursued by grizzled cop Deckard (a typically cool Harrison Ford).
Although a box-office flop on its release, the film went on to become a cult favourite and boasts some of the best special effects of the time.
