Hasbro has been forced to defend itself again this week over one of its Star Wars toys.
Having previously left out Daisy Ridley’s character Rey from it’s Force Awakens action figure set, now she’s missing from the brand new Monopoly game too.
An eight year old’s letter has reignited the #WheresRey hashtag, whereby people are calling out the toy company for their pretty sexist products, and now Hasbro has given a reason for why the board game has four male character pieces, and no Rey.
The Star Wars: Monopoly game was released in September, months before the movie’s release, and Rey was not included to avoid revealing a key plot line that she takes on Kylo Ren and joins the Rebel Alliance.
