Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ John Boyega has been nominated for the EE Rising Star Award at this year’s BAFTAs.
The British actor has his breakthrough role as Finn in Episode VII, having previously starred in Attack The Block and 24: Live Another Day.
‘Thank you to BAFTA and the jury. I’m honoured to be considered for the EE Rising Star Award in this company. What a great way to start the new year,’ Boyega said of his nomination.
John will face stiff competition from the likes of Dakton Johnson, whose turn as Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Of Grey has made her a household name.
