The world is currently going crazy for Star Wars Episode VII, the movie released nearly 40 years after the first in the franchise.
But how have the cast of the series fared over time?
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope starring Carrie Fisher was released back in 1977, followed by The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, Return Of The Jedi in 1983, The Phantom Menace in 1999, Attack Of The Clones in 2002, Revenge Of The Sith in 2005 and The Force Awakens in 2015. 38 years after the first film, many of the most famous characters, like Harrison Ford’s Han Solo and Peter Mayhew’s Chewbacca, featured in the latest in the series.
A whole host of other Hollywood faces have starred along the way, including Natalie Portman in the 2005 Attack Of The Clones and Samuel L. Jackson in 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith.
