Sam Smith and Ellie Goulding are set to do battle at the Golden Globes after they both picked up nominations for best original song.
Smith could well be on course to follow in Adele’s award-winning footsteps with his Bond theme The Writing’s On The Wall – from the recent 007 caper Spectre – which is one of the five songs to make the shortlist.
If he wins both he and writer Jimmy Napes – who co-penned the song – will get to take home the prize.
