MPAA have officially rated Star Wars: The Force Awakens a PG-13 in the US, so we can pretty much assume that the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) will be giving it a 12A certificate.
It’s only the second Star Wars film to be given that rating, 2005’s Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith was the first, with the other five films slapped with a Parental Guidance (PG) classification.
According to the MPAA description, JJ Abrams’ first offering from a galaxy far, far away has ‘sci-fi action violence’.
