Artist Michael C Gross – who designed the now-iconic Ghostbusters logo – has died at the age of 70.
His son confirmed the news, saying that Michael, who was suffering from cancer, passed away at his home in Oceanside, California.
He had been diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2014 after a 30-year battle against the disease.
The New York native created the design of the confused looking ghost staring out from a red circle with a slash through it for the first Ghostbusters film in 1984.
