The actor made the announcement via his Facebook page, with a few other key titbits about the film concerning casting and direction.
That’s right, The Godfather director is taking the helm of the action-packed sequel with Gene Hackman joining the cast.
We can already imagine Gene as a tough commander over Tom Cruise’s Maverick, whose ego we hope is still writing cheques his body can’t cash.
