It might have been tipped as an Oscar contender – but the future isn’t looking too rosy for the Steve Jobs movie at the US box office.
So much so that the film has been yanked from 2,072 cinema screens in the US after just a fortnight on wide release – so much so that it’s now only playing in 421 cinemas across the entire country.
To date, the Danny Boyle-directed biopic, which stars Michael Fassbender as the Apple magnate, has made just over $16m (£10m) in the US.
