It seems nobody was immune from the lure of Back To The Future Day – and that includes law enforcement.
In fact, local police around the world seemed only too keen to join in the fun as film fans celebrated the day that Marty McFly and Doc Brown arrived in the future.
But few did it in quite as much as style as the Michigan State Police – who captured the mood perfectly with this ‘report’ claiming to have caught the time-travelling pair in a speeding DeLorean.
The announcement, which was posted on their Facebook page, read: ‘Michigan State Police troopers stopped a silver DeLorean today for driving 88mph in a 55mph zone.
‘The two occupants, Dr Emmett Brown and Marty McFly, were given a verbal warning to drive more safely on Michigan roads.
