Chris Rock is officially hosting the 2016 Oscars.
After a flurry of rumours, the comedian has confirmed he will anchor the 88th Academy Awards next February.
He appears to sailing this ship alone, which contradicts previous reports that producers were looking for another duo.
The actor added in a statement: ‘I’m so glad to be hosting the Oscars. It’s great to be back.’
Academy President Cheryl Boone Issacs said: ‘He is certain to bring his amazing array of talents to this year’s show.’
