Charlize Theron is one of the biggest names in Hollywood and can probably handpick which roles she takes.
But during her early years in showbiz, the Oscar-winner was just a jobbing actress auditioning for roles no matter how bad or good the script was.
And it turns out that she actually auditioned for the lead role in the critically panned Showgirls.
Paul Verhoven, who directed the 1995 flick, told the New York Daily News that Charlize very nearly took the role of Nomi Malone over former Saved by The Bell star Elizabeth Berkley.
‘Charlize also auditioned, and I don’t recall her having any problem with the nudity at all,’ Verhoven claimed.
