It’s been a busy couple of days for Downton Abbey star Penelope Wilton.
The 68-year-old won Best Actress at the Olivier Awards on Sunday, and now she’s scored a role in a Steven Spielberg movie.
Penelope will play the Queen of England in the film-maker’s big-screen adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book The BFG.
The much-loved 1982 tale is centred on a little girl named Sophie who befriends a big friendly giant and teams up with him to fight against evil giants who eat children.
