Kevin Bacon is waging his own personal war against plastic straws. ‘We are being choked to death by the amount of plastic that we throw away,’ he splutters. ‘It’s killing our oceans. It’s entering into our bodies in the fish we eat. When did straws become something grown ups need in glasses of water? It’s like they’re giving you some fun, extra special treat.’
