Damian Lewis has admitted he’s doing everything he can to land the role of James Bond.

The Homeland star is desperate to replace Daniel Craig as the womanising spy.

So desperate, he joked that he’s even resorted to sending pictures of his abs.

In an interview with Sunday Times Magazine, he said: ‘It’s all hypothetical. No one has called me up. No one has emailed.

Susan Sarandon has publicly slammed Woody Allen because she believes he sexually assaulted a child.

The Thelma & Louise star spoke out against the famed director at the 69th Cannes Film Festival during a panel discussion with former co-star Geena Davis.

A reporter asked what she thought of Allen’s statement that he couldn’t make a movie about a younger man and older woman because he had ‘nothing to draw on’.

Filming on the sequel to Danny Boyle’s cult classic Trainspotting is already underway and now Film4, the production company behind the movie, has confirmed the follow up will be released in January 2017.

Yep, Trainspotting 2 – or T2 as it is now being called – will be released in just eight short months. And let’s not forget that January is peak awards season…

Are Film4 and Danny Boyle hoping for some statuettes to take home for T2? In 1996, Trainspotting was nominated for three BAFTAs and an Oscar, ultimately taking home one BAFTA for screenwriting.

Ferne McCann has landed her first film role.

Ferne, who is currently having a great time at the Cannes Film Festival, could be swapping the small screen for the silver screen after landing a part in a musical.

The TOWIE star will reportedly appear alongside Margot Robbie as a policewoman in the currently untitled film.

A source told The Mirror that it will be Ferne ‘as you’ve never seen her before’.

‘It’s going to be amazing and it’s her dream role. She’s playing a police woman, it’s as you’ve never seen her before.

The weekend is landing for a second time.

A sequel to cult clubbing film Human Traffic has reportedly been greenlit.

Pals Jip, Lulu, Koop, Nina and Moff will be reuniting once again for Human Traffic: The Revolution.

The sequel will be written and directed by Justin Kerrigan, who made the original, and will see the gang living it large in Ibiza.

Set in Cardiff at the height of the ’90s club scene, Human Traffic charted one epic, ecstacy-fuelled weekend.

Director Shane Black says the villain in Iron Man 3 as originally written as a woman.

In the 2013 film Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark faced off against Aldrich Killian, played by Guy Pearce.

But in an interview with Uproxx Black, who also co-wrote the movie, revealed that Killian was a woman in an early version of the script.

However the character was later changed to a man…to sell merchandise.

Warner Bros are reportedly planning a solo Harley Quinn film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there is talk about giving the Suicide Squad character – played by Margot Robbie – her own cinematic outing, along with a number of other female DC Comic goodies and baddies.

Apparently they already have a female writer penning the script.

Some people say that the film industry is running out of original ideas.

Those people could well be right as news reaches us that classic video game Tetris is being turned into a live action film.

And not just one movie but a trilogy. Because watching the dramatic arc of coloured blocks falling at varying speeds down the screen needs three films not just one.

According to Deadline, the project has a $80 million budget and is being touted as a sci-fi thriller.

Tetris: The Movie will be a China and US co-production under Threshold Global Studios.

Fans reacted (quite rightly) with dismay at the news.

The 69-year-old actress claims she wants to direct porn from a female point of view when she retires from acting.

According to The Times, she said: ‘I have threatened in my eighties to direct porn. I haven’t watched enough to know what the problems are.

‘Most pornography is brutal and doesn’t look pleasurable from a female point of view. So I’ve been saying that when I no longer want to act, I want to do that.’
